I miss you all, seriously. Isn't it strange how the internet and even my interactions through it hold a great effect on me? Sadly, I've lost the strength and motivation to get on deviantART, much sooner than I thought.

For the record, I knew that this was going to happen, but I thought it would take longer (like about a year or two from now.) Of course I still go on here in deviantART, but it has been limited to just looking at deviations as of late, no more than that really. If only I could give the remaining month of my subscription, I really would.

...besides my AWOL status in dAmn, that is.

I think I've already blabbed about how college has given me almost no time to get my butt on dAmn, much more the very slow interbutt connection which sometimes can't even let me access the online blackboard. I'm in school from Mondays to Saturdays, leaving Sundays as my only free day (not really, since I'm already loaded with coursework and stuff.) Anywho, enough about me blabbing about life as a pharmer's apprentice and the very frustrating 63+ point botany quiz, and onto what I really wanted to say.

1. I've fallen in love with fractals once again. <33

2. My inactivity in dAmn spells activity in terms of art and constructive criticism, and vice-versa.

I think I'll soon get the hang of leaving my laptop on to render fractals on Apophysis or run scripts to come up with great mutations I could work with instead of running bots (not that I don't want to, it's more of my connection being too slow for it and other people seeing the logs. )

I still have to say, I miss talking to a lot of people now. ;; But eh, it's not like you care anyway you'll see me when you'll see me.

While I might not like the recently released v7 for deviantART, I am not going to ramble about there here and now, since I've used BoffinBrain's poor little journal to give my two cents about the update, back during the beta period. These are not the only reasons that I don't like it though, but I couldn't find anything nobody else has said about it.

1. What does your DA name mean and why?
I'm a horribly lazy twat right now, so I just copy-pasted this from a comment in FritsPlays's journal.

My username has rather boring origins.
'harvest' came from my then liking for the game "Harvest Moon", while 'jacobina' comes from a biscuit produced in here with the same name (it's brownish, cube-shaped, and a bit bland, but great with coffee and hot chocolate). It's not from Jacob of Twilight (WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH THAT REASONING), and not exactly from the feminine version of Jacob as people would like to think. There are more things people attribute that 'jacobina' to, but I forgot most of them.

More accurately, this username should have been "Harvest.Jacobina", which was my username in the HMFarm Message Boards, but since dA doesn't like periods on usernames

2. How many whatchers do you have?
I lose count (and to be honest, I don't really care that much about how many watchers I have), but I have 219 at the moment. Thank you. For putting up with my shit.

3. What fandom were you obsessed with when you joined and what are you into now?
I was REALLY into Harvest Moon at the time. At the moment, I am practically IN LOVE with Naoki Urasawa's "Monster" much to the fact that I could MARRY IT, I'm not kidding, and it's probably the only anime/manga series I like until now. (It has a story following it, "Another Monster" - not manga or anime for the record.)

4. Name 3 of your favourite artists on dA.
I do NOT want to, as much as possible, just limit this list to three people, but I have no choice.

The first people who came to mind were despair (awesome macro photography, enough said), xoja (screw wordboner, his works are kick-ass), and BlissfullySarcastic (emoticons, obey them.)

5. Do you comment, favourite or both?
I try my best to at least leave a decent comment on every deviation I view, regardless of whether it gets a favourite from me or not.

6. Do you join clubs groups/contests on DA?
I always wanted to join art contests, but I haven't the time (and motivation) for them recently. I am a part of many groups though, including dAmnU, dADaycare, dAdoption, SuperJuniorELF, :devdevPinoy:, interfaceSPACE, Daily-Doodles, and OpenAirBar.

7. What is your most popular submission?
My stats say that it's the devPinoys Wall of Fame, according to views and comments, but according to favourites, it's this:

8. What is your favourite non-anime TV show?
I love how this assumes you watch anime. I have to say that Naoki Urasawa's "Monster" is the only anime I like until now and will like.

As for non-anime TV shows, I never really get to watch television shows much (and television here is generally sucky to my taste), so I'd say that I really like Grey's Anatomy. See the bias yet?

9. What are things you wish you could draw better?
Everything. Most especially men, well, boys in general. Also the human body (I AM talking about internal anatomy.)

10. Summer or winter?
Winter, because tropical countries don't have it. (I've never experienced it before too, but I love cold weather.)

11. Rain or sun?
If my mood could control the weather, it would be raining so hard whenever I am in a state of bliss.

12. What's your favourite type of music?
You can say that I don't LIKE genres. Heck, I can't even tell which genres most artists I listen to fall under. My preference changes even more frequently than I change underwear (which is a damn lot in one day), but at the moment, I'd say Drum and Bass, Jazz, and Progressive.

13. PC or Mac?
I wish I could afford a Mac. But I'm stuck with my trusty little laptop which runs my bots.

14. Anime or manga?
None of the two, unless I count Monster and Black Jack in. See the bias yet?

15. Coke or Pepsi?
Uh, Dr. Pepper?

16. Reading or watching TV?
Reading.

17. How many hours a day do you spend on DA?
I have no idea, 24?

Slice 'n' Dice. It's this steak shop here which sells some yummy steak for 99 pesos.

21. What are your top three favourite books?
Sadly, I'm a lonely person who rarely ever reads fiction. "Embraced by the Light" is still one of my favorites after seven years of reading it, although I am a huge fan of Paolo Coelho's work.

22. Wii or PlayStation?
I have neither, but I'm more for the PlayStation. Soul Calibur FTW.

23. Name your three favourite bands/singers.
Like my favorite 'kinds' of music, these change frequently. First ones which came to mind right now are The Geoff Lapp Trio (jazz band from Ontario), Shinchi Osawa (known as Mondo Grosso in the past, he used to be more on acid jazz and house, but has shifted to hard electro since releasing records under his real name), and Absynthe Minded (Belgian band inspired by many genres).

24. Are you a fast, slow, or medium typist?
I'm quite fast, especially when I just type with two fingers. People find it funny, but I'm really used to it. (At the same time, this habit led to so many tucking fypoes, dAmnIT quotes, nicknames, and in some exceptional cases, emoticons:

For my work during the summer, yes. (I think it might happen today. )

A damn lot of sites, I'd spend a day typing them all out.

Yes... But not in public.

32. Fruit or sweets?
I'm not really fond of sweets, so I'll say fruit. (Even if I rarely eat either.)

The gayest of girls have them salted or plain.
I HATE caramel-flavoured popcorn with a passion.

Only when I've had to, for work. I still go to school even when I'm horribly sick, until that time I had a flu (and a bit later, an attack while I was staying in a dormitory, was too sick to walk myself to the clinic.)

35. Have you been on a plane?
I still have a certain amount of delicadeza NOT to yab about where I've been. After all, I'm only going to Singapore this May. The European trip ironically came before that.

36. Have you swam in the ocean?
Will not subject myself to swimming in such salty water AGAIN, I think I'm able to drink a liter of pool water for two hours of swimming.

37. Have you been ice skating?
Twice, sucked and fell on my butt a lot on both occasions. (A third time would have been last March, but I had an alibi.)

38. Favourite vacation spot?
Vacation? What's that?

39. Ever been on TV?
Only once so far - that was a Sunday mass service aired on RPN9. I was only eight or nine at the time though.

40. Favourite salad and dressing?
Vinaigrette or caesar dressing for me, tossed greens for my salad base.

41. What do you do to relax?
Lock my room, turn the air conditioning on high, and listen to some music on my iPod.

42. What's the last movie you saw in the cinema?
Alice in Wonderland.

I hate normal sandwiches, except for those my mom (or I) makes with crabstick, cream cheese, salmon, or peanut butter filling.

Anywhere with better weather and healthcare service.

I wanted to be a medical doctor specializing in genetic engineering neurosurgery.

I don't even recall much shows from my childhood. I think they were Art Attack then Art Atat , Goin' Bulilit (local gag show starring kids and horrible jokes), Kenan and Kel they were ftw, All That, Tom and Jerry, Ang TV (still managed to watch the last batch), and of course, Discovery Channel's Extreme Architecture and their countless medical science shows.

Mom's delicious rib steak.

I am not amused. ;-;

My mother also told me that we might have to switch laptops for a while. I feel a bit bad over this, since I have most of my files on this laptop, and I'm really attached to it. (My personal files are 45.2 GB, but that's mainly because of videos, pictures, and music.)

I'll be missing my music library and all my files (not to mention WIPs from 2008), and I just hope that my mother doesn't make mistakes by accidentally deleting things again.

It doesn't help that my dad cleared my bookmarks and Firefox browsing history so I've lost track of many helpful sites, as well as forums I frequent (with very long URLs.)
